FLL University Of Minnesota Morris Sustainability Trip

Last Wednesday, Breck’s FLL team visited the University Of Minnesota Morris to check out their sustainability practices and learn more about clean energy. UMN Morris is committed to achieving carbon neutrality so they had many inspiring initiatives in place. On the tour, we saw their solar panels, recycling process, green heating plant, and even got to go inside a wind turbine! We were also introduced to a robot that is being built to efficiently weed plants, helping organic crops grow without the need for pesticides. Members of the Upper School’s Environmental club tagged along to both learn and help advise. The FLL team had a fun field trip and gained lots of valuable information. Thank you to UMN Morris for this opportunity!!
